Vijit Pillai is a well recognised artist and a pioneer in New Media and Digital Art. He has conducted successful exhibitions in Hyderabad, Bangalore Delhi and
Fujairah, U A E.

Over 750 of his artworks have been bought by customers across India and from abroad including USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Germany, Italy Malaysia and UAE. Over 500 artworks by the artist are part of the decor at the Sheraton Grand Bangalore
and the Radisson Blu Plaza, Hyderabad.

Vijit Pillai uses his own photographs and other references which take new form through the use of textures, filters, patterns and sophisticated digital techniques with acrylic paint on canvas in the genre of ‘Mixed Media Art“ in exclusive or limited edition canvases.

The artist began painting at a very early age. He was encouraged by his mother who gave him canvas and paints when he was just three years old. As a student of Rathin Mitra, his art teacher at the Doon School, he went on to win the All India Award for the Best Painting from Nehru Yuva Kendra and the Best Artist prize at school.

He has worked with over 14 GENRES OF ART – Lord Buddhas, Divinity Art, Indian Temples and Architecture, Indian Folk and Tribal art, Neo Mughal Art, Michelangelo sculpture Murals, European architecture and Landmarks, Abstract, Calligraphy, Portraits, Stained Glass, Portraits, Automobile Art and Art Nouveau.
