Sumana Biswas
My art is a reflection of the struggle we all face in finding balance between our desires and our logic. I create art that invites the viewer to consider the role of intuition, emotion, and reason in their own lives, and traverse the road not taken.
Many a times, I have reached out to Japanese philosophies to inspire and motivate me to resolve these challenges. I wish to continue to create more art to explore our abstract thoughts, the “grey area” as we call it – where we dwell before we make the concrete decisions.
Acrylic, Sumi ink, soft pastels and water colours are my most used media.
